Three years ago, Promofy started with one belief:
DIGITAL AUDIENCES SHOULD PARTICIPATE. NOT JUST WATCH.
That idea shaped the company we started building.
If people spend more of their lives interacting with digital brands, sports, entertainment and gaming platforms, those experiences should give them something more meaningful to do than simply scroll, watch or wait for the next promotion.
They should be able to predict.
Compete.
Progress.
Unlock.
Achieve.
Win.
And have a reason to come back.
Three years later, that belief is still at the centre of Promofy.
What has changed is everything around it.
Promofy has evolved from a gamification-focused startup into a broader engagement technology ecosystem connecting acquisition, activation, gamification, sports engagement, retention, loyalty, jackpots and AI.
Today, Promofy technology is available globally. Hundreds of engagement experiences have been built using the platform. We are working across operators, groups, platforms, CRM providers and technology partners in multiple markets.
And we are only getting started.
Promofy turns three today.
Already global. Already proven. Still moving fast.
Three Years of Turning Audiences Into Participants
Promofy began with a problem that remains just as relevant today.
Getting someone to visit is not the same as getting them to engage.
Getting a player to register is not the same as building retention.
Giving someone a bonus is not the same as creating loyalty.
And attracting an audience around a major sporting event does not automatically mean those users will still be there when the event ends.
That is why Promofy has increasingly focused on the full engagement journey rather than isolated campaigns.
Our technology has evolved around a connected lifecycle:
Traffic → Interaction → Registration → Activation → Engagement → Progression → Retention → Loyalty
The mechanics can change at every stage.
The underlying idea does not.
Give people a reason to participate and then give that participation somewhere meaningful to go next.
That philosophy is now reflected across the wider Promofy engagement ecosystem.
From Gamification Mechanics to Engagement Infrastructure
Gamification was where the journey began.
Promofy was created to give operators the ability to build interactive engagement experiences without turning every promotion into another development project.
Missions.
Challenges.
Leaderboards.
Reward wheels.
Mystery boxes.
Progression systems.
Cashback.
Levels and ranks.
Loyalty journeys.
What started as individual mechanics has evolved into something much broader.
Through the Promofy Gamification Suite, these mechanics can work together as part of continuous player engagement journeys rather than disconnected promotions.
A player completes a mission.
That mission changes their progression.
Progression unlocks a reward.
The reward influences what experience they see next.
Their next action creates another trigger.
Instead of a collection of campaigns, engagement becomes a system.
Promofy’s infrastructure is designed around that idea: enabling casino and sportsbook operators to connect missions, progression, rewards, competition, segmentation and loyalty within one engagement layer.
The importance of that real-time connection is something we explored further in Slow Rewards Kill Retention: Why Real-Time Gamification in iGaming Drives Player LTV, where we looked at why the timing between player behaviour and the resulting experience matters just as much as the reward itself.
Three years in, gamification remains fundamental to Promofy.
But it is no longer the whole story.
Acquisition Became Part of the Engagement Equation
Operators spend heavily bringing users to their websites.
SEO.
Affiliates.
Paid media.
Sponsorships.
Influencers.
Brand campaigns.
But traffic alone does not create value.
A high-intent visitor can explore an operator website, visit several pages and then disappear without registering.
That means an acquisition opportunity can be lost before the visitor even enters the traditional CRM lifecycle.
This challenge led to one of the newest additions to the Promofy ecosystem: Promofy Spark.
Spark is designed to turn anonymous website traffic into measurable acquisition opportunities through behavior-triggered onsite experiences.
It can respond to signals including:
- Exit intent
- Time on page
- Scroll depth
- Page visits
- Button interactions
Those signals can trigger interactive experiences such as spin wheels, scratch cards, mystery boxes, targeted banners and offers.
The principle is simple.
Instead of showing every visitor the same static experience, respond to what they are actually doing.
This pushes Promofy beyond engagement after registration and into the beginning of the customer lifecycle.
Acquisition becomes part of the engagement system.
Sports Engagement Grew Beyond One-Off Prediction Games
Sport has been another major part of Promofy’s evolution.
Free-to-Play prediction games initially showed how brands could transform major sporting events from passive viewing moments into interactive acquisition and engagement opportunities.
That opportunity has developed into the dedicated Promofy Sports Free-to-Play Suite.
Prediction games, Pick’ems, quizzes, challenges, quick-win experiences and jackpot-style mechanics can be used not simply as standalone campaigns, but as entry points into broader customer journeys.
A fan makes a prediction.
They register to participate.
They return to see the result.
They join another competition.
They enter a leaderboard.
They move into another gamified journey.
Eventually, that participation can connect with sportsbook, casino, CRM and loyalty experiences.
The impact can already be seen in live campaigns.
In one Champions League Free-to-Play jackpot case study, a promotion built with Promofy attracted more than 17,000 players in two days, with 37% of Free-to-Play participants placing real-money sportsbook bets during the campaign.
Our Promofy Success Stories also include the Euro 2024 campaign, which generated 50,000 users, 16,000 registrations and a 43% F2P-to-real-money conversion rate.
These campaigns reinforced something we believed from the beginning:
Sports attention becomes considerably more valuable when audiences can participate in it.
The same thinking is increasingly important as operators plan around the world’s largest sporting moments. In our analysis of turning World Cup attention into long-term loyalty, we looked beyond tournament traffic itself toward what happens after the initial acquisition spike.
That shift from capturing attention to building ongoing engagement reflects the wider direction Promofy is taking.
Promofy Jackpot Adds Another Engagement Layer
2026 has also marked Promofy’s expansion into jackpot technology.
Promofy Jackpot allows operators to create configurable progressive jackpot experiences connected to qualifying casino, sportsbook and deposit activity.
Operators can configure contribution logic, trigger ranges, branding, qualification paths and multiple progressive levels around individual campaigns.
But one of the most important developments came in August 2026.
Promofy Jackpot Promotions and Promofy Jackpot RNG successfully passed independent evaluation against GLI-19 v3.0 requirements by BMM Spain Testlabs S.L.U.
The milestone is covered in more detail in Promofy Achieves GLI-19 Compliance: Launching Jackpots Globally.
For Promofy, this represents more than another product launch.
As engagement technology moves closer to core gaming infrastructure, operators need flexibility without compromising the technical integrity, security, auditability and operational controls expected in regulated environments.
The GLI-19 evaluation represents another step toward supporting larger operators, deeper deployments and more complex regulated-market requirements.
AI Is Changing How Engagement Gets Operated
Building more experiences creates another challenge.
How do marketing and CRM teams operate them efficiently across multiple campaigns, segments, languages, brands and markets?
This is where AI becomes increasingly important.
The Promofy AI Suite is being developed around practical campaign operations rather than AI as a standalone feature.
The current suite includes:
Flow AI – helping teams generate promotion campaigns from campaign inputs.
Target AI – supporting behavioural audience segmentation.
Localize AI – adapting promotions across multiple languages.
Canvas AI – generating branded campaign visuals.
Insight AI – analysing and comparing campaign results.
The objective is straightforward:
Reduce the operational distance between an idea and a live, measurable customer experience.
For a single operator, that means helping teams move faster.
For larger groups managing multiple brands, audiences and markets, the opportunity becomes much bigger.
Campaign structures can be created, adapted, localised and analysed within the same engagement environment.
It reflects a wider industry shift we also explored in our iGaming Industry Trends to Watch in 2026: AI, real-time engagement, modular infrastructure, personalisation and gamification are increasingly converging rather than operating as separate technology categories.
From Individual Products to One Connected Ecosystem
The biggest change over the first three years is not the number of products Promofy has launched.
It is how those products increasingly connect.
Spark can influence anonymous acquisition.
Sports F2P can convert sports attention into participation and registration.
Gamification can create progression, missions, competition and repeat engagement.
Jackpots can introduce persistent excitement around qualifying activity.
AI can help teams build, target, localise and analyse those experiences.
CRM and platform integrations can connect those experiences with existing customer data, rewards and lifecycle infrastructure.
That creates a much bigger opportunity than any individual mechanic.
Promofy is increasingly being built around a continuous engagement loop connecting:
ACQUISITION → ACTIVATION → RETENTION → LOYALTY
Rather than replacing the technology operators already use, Promofy is designed to operate as an engagement layer around it.
The platform is API-first and designed to connect with operator platforms, CRM systems, bonus engines and existing customer infrastructure.
That includes integration with leading CRM environments such as Fast Track and Optimove as well as proprietary technology stacks.
For larger operators and groups, that architecture matters.
The goal is not to create another disconnected marketing environment.
It is to help engagement work across the technology environment the operator already has.
Global Operations Need Technology That Can Scale
Promofy’s growth has also changed the scale of the environments the platform needs to support.
Campaigns increasingly need to work across:
- Multiple brands
- Multiple markets
- Multiple languages
- Multiple currencies
- Different CRM environments
- Different customer segments
- Different regulatory requirements
Promofy has therefore developed around multi-brand and multi-tenant management, multilingual support, multi-currency environments, real-time analytics and platform-ready APIs.
This matters because the next stage of engagement technology is not simply about launching another promotion faster.
It is about making successful engagement repeatable.
A global group should be able to take a strong engagement concept, adapt it for different brands and markets, localise it, connect it with local customer journeys and measure the results without rebuilding the experience from zero every time.
That is where simplicity becomes infrastructure.
The Promofy Ecosystem Is Expanding Beyond Technology
Technology alone does not create successful engagement.
Strategy matters.
CRM expertise matters.
Implementation matters.
Local market knowledge matters.
Understanding the customer matters.
That is why August 2026 also marked the launch of the Promofy Partners Club.
The Club creates a structured partner ecosystem for CRM professionals, MarTech consultants, customer engagement specialists, agencies, systems integrators, growth consultants and technology advisors.
Qualified partners can introduce relevant opportunities, build verified expertise around Promofy, develop consulting and implementation services and grow commercially alongside the wider ecosystem.
The programme includes paths from referral partner through certified, co-sell and strategic partner levels.
Partners can also work toward the Promofy Certified Engagement Partner credential, covering practical areas including CRM, customer engagement, gamification, loyalty, acquisition, retention, the Promofy platform and Spark.
The thinking behind the programme is explored further in our announcement: Promofy Launches Partners Club for CRM, MarTech and Customer Engagement Consultants.
For consultants and customer engagement professionals interested in joining directly, they can explore the Promofy Partners Club.
This is an important part of the next phase.
Promofy does not intend to scale through software alone.
Platforms, consultants, CRM specialists, technology partners and implementation teams can all play a role in bringing better engagement infrastructure into more brands and markets.
Three Years of Industry Recognition
The progress of the first three years has also been recognised by the industry.
Promofy’s recent achievements include:
🏆 ICE Barcelona 2026 – Pitch Winner
🏆 SPiCE Asia 2026 – Startup of the Year
🏆 Starties – Launch of the Year
Alongside multiple international industry recognitions, nominations and startup acknowledgements.
Each award represents something slightly different.
Product progress.
Commercial validation.
Industry recognition.
And growing confidence in the direction Promofy is taking.
But the most exciting part is not what has already happened.
It is what those first three years have made possible.
Three Years In And the Ambition Is Getting Bigger
Promofy is entering its next stage with a broader product ecosystem, deeper integrations and a clearer view of the role engagement technology can play across modern iGaming and digital platforms.
The ambition now is larger.
More global groups.
Deeper deployments.
More products working together.
More strategic technology partnerships.
More CRM and consulting partners.
More brands.
More markets.
More intelligence across the customer lifecycle.
And a stronger connection between acquisition, engagement, retention and loyalty rather than treating each as a completely separate problem.
Promofy started by asking:
How can digital audiences participate more?
Three years later, the question has evolved:
How can every meaningful customer action create the next relevant experience?
That is the engagement infrastructure we are building toward.
Next Stop: SBC Summit Lisbon 2026
